Bentley Grange
Location : Woodhouse Lane, Emley, Huddersfield, HD8 9QX
The fruit season normally starts mid to late June and finishes late July, early August. Each year can be different. Opening days and times are posted in the table below during the season.
We grow a range of soft fruit including Strawberries, Raspberries, Blackcurrants and Redcurrants.
Strawberries often start around Wimbledon week and last approximately six weeks. Raspberries and currants a little later but each year is different, depending on the weather.

Cedarbarn Farm Shop

We have eight acres of soft fruit at Cedarbarn, all available for visitors to either pick themselves or buy in the shop.
We grow six different varieties of strawberry which ripen at different times, which means you can pick strawberries here from the early ‘Christine’ variety, grown under fleece and available at the beginning of June, right through to ‘Flamenco’ in October
We have also just introduced an area of table-top strawberry plants situated close to the café, which means that our more elderly or infirm customers are now able to pick their own too!

East Field Farm

Eastfield Farm provides pick your own strawberries, sunflowers, wildflowers, corn and pumpkins during the Summer and Autumn months.
We hope to be open from June to mid-August for strawberry picking, but crop timings and availability depends heavily on the weather conditions. Whilst pumpkins are harvested throughout October.
Produce can also become unavailable during the season due to unforeseen weather conditions or the farm becoming busy. We recommend that you check our Facebook page for updates before your visit to avoid disappointment.

We have a range of different varieties of strawberries on the farm including Florence, Alegro, Sonata, Dahli, Rumba, Elegance, Sonsation, Faith and Malwina – which are selected for their excellent taste, ripening date and the ability to grow in the soil.
They are grown uncovered and therefore ripen naturally in the sunshine. They are all bedded up with straw and tended to by hand.
PLUS NEW – Table top strawberries!
We also grow 3 acres of delicious raspberries as well as gooseberries, redcurrants, blackcurrants and blackberries which can all be picked on our family-run farm.
