Help the expert keepers feed Birdland’s much-loved penguin residents including England’s only breeding group of King Penguins and the comical characters that are the Humboldt Penguins. You’ll also get to go behind the scenes and help the staff prepare for the feeding display which takes place daily at 2:30 pm.
As well as taking part in the experience you’ll also receive a certificate to certify you have fed the beaked buddies to take home and free entry to the park throughout the day of your experience.

Flamingo Land Zoo Penguin Encounter

Get fantastic views of the penguins from their pool side whilst you give them a fish feast!
This encounter allows you to get close to our South American Humboldt penguins as you join the zoo keeper at one of their daily feeds.
Participants are taken to the pool side area where a bucket of fish will be provided to throw into the water to feed the penguins.
Any spectators are able to watch from the viewing bridge above the penguin pool.

Folly Farm Penguin Experience
Location : Begelly, Kilgetty SA68 0XA
You’ll be among the Humboldt and Macaroni penguins on the Penguin Coast beach, taking charge of the feed during the daily penguin talk.
You’ll be welcomed by one of the penguin keepers and after a short briefing, you’ll help prepare lunch for the penguins.
This involves weighing out the right amount of fish and putting a vitamin tablet in their gills. It’s messy work, but don’t worry they provide gloves.
Whilst you’re behind the scenes in the penguin enclosure you can ask the knowledgeable penguin keepers all about the animals in their care.
Now comes the bit you’ve been waiting for. You’ll get to meet and feed the penguins. Both the Macaroni and Humboldt penguins absolutely love feeding time!
Your penguin feeding experience will last at least 20 minutes. It includes a souvenir cuddly toy penguin to take home so you can remember this very special experience.

Wingham Wildlife Park

Get yourself or a loved one up close and personal with these amazing birds!
You will have access inside the enclosure for up to 20 minutes where you will meet the Penguins on the beach, giving them a feed using their favourite fish.
This is a great way to get them right up close to you as you get to feed each individual animal by hand.
Please allow up to half an hour for the experience which includes time for a health and safety briefing before you begin, and up to around 20 minutes to feed the Penguins (this time depends entirely on how much the animals want to eat, and how quickly they eat).

Woodside Wildlife Park

This amazing 45 minute Penguin Experience gives you the opportunity to meet and hand-feed Lincolnshire’s only Humboldt Penguins. You will accompany one of the friendly zoo-keepers down to the ‘Penguin Rocks’ enclosure, where you will learn all about the daily food preparation and also the state-of-the-art filtration system. After this, the real fun begins!
You and a small group (maximum of 6) will enter the actual penguin enclosure (not behind a fence or a window!) and hand-feed the colony of Humboldt Penguins. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to get up close and personal with the most popular species at Woodside.
