The PYO area covers an impressive ten acres.

Established on the field behind Pennells Garden Centre for over 20 years, it’s a favourite haunt among locals for its seasonal yield of strawberries.

Peaks Top Farm

Location : New Waltham, Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, DN36 4RS

Peaks Top Farm was built over 200 years ago, and the Clayton family have been farming at Hewitt’s Avenue since the 1920s.

In the early days they focused on beef cattle and dairy farming, but over time this focus has changed to more diverse activities ranging from cereal, fruit farming and farm based accommodation to making their very own fruit wine.

Peaks Top Farm have been growing soft fruit for sale for the past 31 years which has grown to over two hectares of strawberries, a ‘table-top’ strawberry growing system, five poly-tunnels plus outdoor bush and cane fruit such as raspberries, black and redcurrants along with three varieties of gooseberries.

They grow a number of different varieties which ripen at slightly different times to extend the picking season.
