Little Mountains Farm

Little Mountains Farm was originally part of Braxted Park Estate owned by the DuCane Family. Dennis William Mann took over the farm in 1952 and the farm is currently run by his two sons and grandson. It is very much a family farm.

On the farm they grow soft fruits, cereals and keep livestock. Some of the cereals they grow (wheat, barley and oats) go into animal feed which they produce on the farm for the livestock (pigs and barn reared turkeys).

They rear turkeys at Christmas for retail and catering markets.

They offer PYO for Strawberries and Raspberries.

The same family have owned McLauchlans fruit farm for 80 years

Freshly picked fruit is available in high season, for those who are short of time. Arrive early to ensure you don’t miss out!

The farm shop stocks local produce including local potatoes, cream and ice cream. Freshly frozen fruit is also available throughout the year.

Olivers Nurseries

Olivers Nurseries in Witham have pick your own strawberries and raspberries. Entrance is free and fruit cost is calculated by weight.

You can bring your own container (don’t forget to get it weighed before filling it up!) or punnets can be purchased within the shop.

Spencer’s Farm Shop

The Cox family welcome you to their family friendly Coxs at Spencers Farm Shop & Carters Café, nestled in the picturesque village of Wickham St. Pauls, halfway between Sudbury and Halstead.

They have an outside children’s play area, fully enclosed for children to run free and play, with picnic benches for you to enjoy a drink.

At the end of the play area there are goats with the famous goat bridge, which children enjoy watching them cross, or why not have a go at the mini crazy golf course, new holes added throughout the season.

Throughout the year the Spencer family’s onsite farm offers ‘pick your own’ Strawberries, Raspberries, Blueberries, cherries, loganberries, red currants and black currants.
