The garden houses the National Collection of Galanthus (snowdrop), with nearly 2,000 different varieties.

Most are grown in the garden setting but some specialised ones can be seen on display racks. There is a Japanese themed garden and a raised alpine bed.

Other plants grown inc daphnes and a collection of over 100 maple trees. The alpine house contains a collection of Primula allionii.

Kings Arm Garden

Location : Brinsmade Road, Ampthill, Bedford, Bedfordshire, MK45 2PP

Small woodland garden of about 1½ acres created by plantsman, the late William Nourish.

Trees, shrubs, bulbs and many interesting collections throughout the year. Since 1987, the garden has been maintained by ‘The Friends of the Garden’ on behalf of Ampthill Town Council.

Charming woodland garden with mass plantings of snowdrops and early spring bulbs. Beautiful autumn colours in October.

Moggerhanger Park

Location: Park Rd, Moggerhanger, Bedford MK44 3RW

The Garden Wood has lots of wildlife and beautiful flowers (snowdrops, bluebells etc). Still today you can enjoy the snowdrops (in February), originally planted by Humphry Repton in Garden Wood.

The walk is a circular route taking you through the wood, into the Orchard area where the Garden Room Cafe is and either back down the Walled Garden path or onto the Lawn at the rear of the house, ending back at the car park.
