Cadbury Alpacas

Location : The Old Dairy, 24 Clevedon Road, Tickenham, North Somerset, BS21 6RA

Cadbury Alpacas is situated in an unspoilt idyllic country setting about 20 minutes from Bristol Suspension Bridge and 5 mins from the Victorian coastal town of Clevedon (about a 5 minute drive from J20 of the M5).

Clevedon also boasts a fabulous Victorian Pier, tea rooms and gift shops if you are looking to make a day of it! We are also very close to the National Trust properties of Tyntesfield and Clevedon Court.

Our licenced alpaca walking experiences are unrushed and last around 2-3 hours and will start with you meeting and feeding the alpacas and learning a bit about them such as their natural history, husbandry, their personalities, group dynamics and how to communicate and connect with them.

You will find out all about the different breeds of alpacas on our farm, including our rare breed suri’s, compare them to our llama, plus you’ll see most of the 22 shades of colour that alpacas come in.

You can then choose an alpaca each to walk around the field. There will be numerous photo opportunities for you to grab a selfie with your chosen alpaca!

Cary Alpacas

Alpacas of Hall Farm

Adults and children over 12 may lead one of the halter trained alpacas for a walk. Younger children, over 9yrs of age, can accompany an adult on the walk.

You must wear sensible outdoor clothing appropriate for the weather and experience with sturdy trainers or shoes.

During the walk photographs of the experience are taken and they are published on the Facebook page to enable you the opportunity to see your experience at no extra charge.

Pickney Farm Alpacas

Location : Farm Pickney Ln, Taunton TA2 8AS

Come to Pickney Farm for an alpaca experience with views of the stunning Quantock Hills and picturesque countryside.

We have four friendly female alpacas here on our small holding just twenty minutes from Taunton, Somerset.

Come and meet the alpacas, learn a bit about them and then team up with one of them and take her on a walk around our land, taking in the country air and views.

After walking them you can hand feed them some treats provided and follow this with a drink and homemade cake in the company of the girls.

The experience will last about two hours altogether. The walk is not strenuous, alpaca speed is very gentle!

This activity is suitable for both adults and children. Children under 10 will team up with an adult and have two leads on the alpaca. Proper shoes need to be worn.

Somerset Alpaca Trekking includes our beautiful friendly alpacas and we also have sheep including rare breed Balwens, a Jacob, Steve our pure Valais Blacknose and Heidi a Valais blacknose x poll Dorset and lots of different breeds of chickens including 5 different rare breeds.

A talk on alpacas covering the many interesting facts about these beautiful animals.
We tell you about our individual boys, so you can choose which alpaca you’d like to walk.

Then we walk in our fields, so you can enjoy your time and take lots of photos.

Upon returning to the stables you will feed your alpaca and any others you wish to.
Then we go off to meet and feed our sheep, where we will feed them if they feel like it.

Some of them are quite shy, some will definitely feed from your hands. Where you will learn about their different breeds. Followed by a visit to our chickens where you can feed, cuddle and even buy some fresh eggs.
