A family run restaurant, farm shop and Pick Your Own fruit farm, that strives to offer high quality local produce.
The business has been built upon four generations of farming experience and is run by the Bye family. Dovecote Farm is located on the edge of Newton village near Kettering in Northamptonshire – known as the “The Rose of the English Shires”.
The farm today still grows the traditional crops of wheat, which is sold for bread and biscuit making, and oilseeds, which are used to make healthy culinary oils.
The first retailing venture at Dovecote Farm, started in 1985, was pick your own soft fruit. This has steadily grown over the years to include a greater variety of soft fruits and asparagus.
They continue to develop the enterprise to provide a better overall experience for their customers. For example, strawberries are now grown on “table tops” for more convenient picking.
The restaurant and farm shop are open all year round and they offer an array of fresh fruit for ‘picking your own’ during the summer.

Situated in the beautiful village of Harpole, Grange Farm is famous across Northamptonshire for its range of delicious, freshly grown fruit throughout the summer.
They’ve been growing strawberries since 1987, opening the pick your own gates in 1988. Since then, they have moved into table top strawberries for easy picking and have broadened their offering to include raspberries, gooseberries, blackberries and asparagus.
